The job description outlines your primary responsibilities as a caregiver. Prior to beginning a new assignment, Senior Helpers will provide you with background information about your client and review any special needs this client may have. Objective: To provide professional care giving services and to help clients maintain their independence and to assist them with household and family support services Reports to: Hiring Manager Examples of Benefits: $19/hour Flexible Schedule Professional Development Paid Training and Development Opportunities for Advancement LifeMart Work close to home Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Companionship and conversation Light housekeeping Household management Errands Apparel selection (i.e. laying out clothes) Meal planning & preparation Laundry & linen changing Medication reminders Transportation using client’s vehicles or your own In sleep over or live in situations Prepare sleeping area at night Assist client as requested during the night; let office know if this is requested more than twice a night Other Requirements Document activities in the Care Plan Book daily (if applicable) Record daily hours worked and daily services performed on the Weekly Time Sheet and Service Log, review with client and submit the signed form every Monday by 5:00pm Report any significant client changes to the office immediately Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Senior Helpers Employee Handbook and Training Manual Ability to lift 25 pounds Qualifications CHHA license required Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect Ability to read, write and speak English at an average adult level Ability to drive or use public transportation to get to work Ability to lift 25 pounds Must be 18 years of age or older Must possess a valid social security number Complete any required health screenings as required Valid driver’s license with no serious driving violations Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations Pass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior Helpers I understand that this is a general, not fully inclusive list of duties I might be asked to perform.
