OverviewVectorUSA is seeking an experienced Physical Security Project Manager to join our Torrance office. The successful candidate will lead infrastructure projects that integrate physical security systems with enterprise network environments, including surveillance, access control, and video management systems (VMS).This role is responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client objectives. The Project Manager will act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, clients, engineers, and vendors—bridging business goals with technical implementation while maintaining disciplined project management practices and exceptional communication.The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of physical security system architecture, including IP-based video surveillance, access control systems, edge devices, cloud-managed platforms, and supporting network infrastructure. Experience with leading manufacturers such as Axis Communications, Avigilon, Brivo, Verkada, Hanwha Vision, and Identiv is strongly preferred.What Your Typical Day Will BeProject Lifecycle LeadershipManage multiple concurrent physical security projects through all phases—initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing—aligned with PMI/PMBOK standardsOversee deployment of on-premise and cloud-based security solutions, including video surveillance, access control, and VMS platformsEnsure all systems meet technical requirements, compliance standards, and client expectationsTechnical CoordinationCollaborate with engineering teams deploying solutions from Axis, Avigilon, Brivo, Verkada, Hanwha Vision, and IdentivCoordinate system design and integration across IP cameras, NVRs, cloud VMS platforms, access control panels, credentialing systems, and mobile access solutionsSupport integrations between physical security platforms and enterprise networks, identity management systems, and cloud servicesMaintain working knowledge of low-voltage systems, structured cabling, PoE infrastructure, and network dependencies for security systemsOversee system configurations including camera provisioning, access control programming, and VMS setupStakeholder & Client CommunicationServe as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholdersConduct kickoff meetings, progress updates, and project closeoutsTranslate technical security concepts into business-relevant language for clientsScope, Schedule & Budget ManagementDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plansManage scope and change control processesTrack progress using tools such as Microsoft Project or similar platformsSite Assessments & Implementation OversightConduct site surveys, security assessments, and job walks to validate design and installation readinessPartner with Estimation and Engineering teams to develop accurate proposals, SOWs, and system designsOversee installation teams to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to specificationsVendor & Partner ManagementCoordinate with manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely and high-quality deliveryMonitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with system specifications and standardsWhat You Bring to the TableExperienceMinimum of 8 years of project management experience in physical security, low-voltage, or integrated systems environmentsProven track record managing deployments involving video surveillance, access control, and VMS platformsHands-on experience with systems from Axis, Avigilon, Brivo, Verkada, Hanwha Vision, and/or IdentivStrong understanding of IP-based security systems, network infrastructure dependencies, and cloud-managed security platformsExperience managing multi-site or enterprise-level security deploymentsFamiliarity with compliance standards and best practices in physical security systemsExperience working within Agile or hybrid project environments is a plusCertificationsPMP Certification – RequiredManufacturer certifications (e.g., Axis Certified Professional (ACP), Avigilon/Verkada certifications, Brivo/Identiv training) – PreferredEducationBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or related field – Added value/PreferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and communication skills for cross-functional coordinationDeep understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, and financial accountabilityProficiency in project management tools and documentation platformsAbility to interpret and produce technical drawings, security system designs, RFPs, and SOWsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesOther RequirementsAbility to travel for site visits, client meetings, and project oversightValid driver’s license and reliable transportationCompensation & BenefitsSalary range: $125,000 – $140,000 annually, depending on experience and qualificationsPerformance-based bonuses tied to project success and client satisfactionComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer contributionsProfessional development and certification reimbursementCollaborative and technology-driven work environmentVectorUSA is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled.
